The distinguished White Hall Hounds are Middleburg’s own pack of Penn-Marydel hounds, proudly representing the “Horse and Hound Capital of the United States,” Middleburg .
Renowned for their rich voices and exceptional ability to carry a line across challenging country, they reflect the finest qualities of the Penn-Marydel tradition.
Through their presence in the field and participation in community and conservation efforts, White Hall Hounds uphold the heritage, stewardship, and sporting spirit of Virginia’s hunt country.

In season, the White Hall Hounds give chase twice weekly alongside staff and invited guests. Mounted followers share in the sport, while spectators are equally welcome to observe and enjoy the tradition from foot, car, or bicycle (with permission).
Young riders and those new to horses and hounds are especially encouraged to experience the outdoors and the camaraderie of the field. One need not own a horse — or even consider oneself a “horse person” — to take part.
Those wishing to participate in activities are invited to contact Mrs. Kimberly (Suji) Woodill, Joint Master, for further information.
